Just like Portia – I “Came Out”!

This week Anderson Cooper admitted publicly that he is a homosexual.

In this video, Portia de Rossi explains how difficult it was to hide her secret. (Her sexual preference). I don’t really want to know what anyone is doing in the privacy of their bedroom. Portia said she had to send money home to her mom, and her “revealing the truth” about her sex life might have jeopardized her career as an actress. (I’ve never seen her in anything.)

I can relate. I was a 24 year old Christian Conservative in Hollywood. I had to support myself, my (unemployed) husband and my baby. I knew that if my inner beliefs were public, it might jeopardize my career as an actress and my family and I would lose our house and car.

The difference between Portia and I, besides the fact that she hooked up with Ellen Degeneres and thus didn’t have to worry about getting any gigs anymore, (I hooked up with a policeman, so money is still an issue), is that Hollywood and the media reward homosexuality, while they “crucify” Christians and Conservatives.

So, of the two of us, who is the bravest?!

I have no pity for you Portia. And, since your side, the Left, keeps throwing the word “TOLERANT” around…maybe you could actually practice it yourselves.

Love a Christian. See how that feels. I love you.

Oh, and by the way, Ellen is no hero or martyr. Hollywood has always cheered for the person who crosses the line of morality, or the breaks social mores. I think the artist who should be respected more is the one who goes against the grain, risking all to take the unpopular stance, the moral high ground, the position that goes against the easy pull of their own flesh and the deliriously intoxicating acceptance by the cool crowd. The person who stands for integrity when everyone else is depraved. That’s a hero.
