Most Controversial SNL Alums Includes… Me ?!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/09/the-most-notorious-former_n_1654689.html?ncid=wsc-huffpost-cards-image#slide=1193088

I’m controversial?! Boring, little, old, housewife, me? Controversial? What did I do?! Telling the truth is controversial?!
Pamela Gellar says, “Truth is the new hate speech.”

Controversy can be good or bad. Jesus was controversial.

So, let me see what company Huff Po has put me in and what Huff Po considers “controversial” … Okay, Huff Po says:
1. Chris Rock said something racist against white people.
2. Chevy Chase sent profanity-laden voicemails to his boss.
3. Gilbert Gottfried tweeted jokes about Japan’s tsunami.
4. Eddie Murphy did not pay child support to his illegitimate child (didn’t he also get caught with a transvestite hooker?).
5. Dan Ackroyd believes in aliens.
6. Tracy Morgan told ‘homophobic’ jokes.
7. Randy Quaid was arrested for burglary.
8. John Belushi was a misogynist.
9. Robert Downey Jr. was arrested for drugs.
10. Jon Lovitz used bad language to explain that Obama is “a president, not a king.”

Huff Po describes me, ” …Tea Party member Victoria Jackson can be frequently counted on to offer an off color remark, whether she’s slamming “Glee”, gays or Muslims, comparing Obama to Hitler, or saying that Rush Limbaugh should run the country. During her time at “SNL,” she reportedly said, “Maybe I’m overcompensating, because everybody here is dying and going to Hell, and I’m supposed to tell them about Jesus.”

Well, I guess what the Huff Po considers my “controversy” and “off color” is; defending the Constitution and the Bible, resisting Shariah Law and it’s treatment of women as dogs, protecting the innocence of children and the sanctity of marriage, supporting the traditional family, defending Capitalism, enjoying the company of patriotic, freedom loving Americans, and sharing the loving gospel of Christ (John 3:16) with others.

I always thought “off color” meant using the F word and telling dirty, embarrassing, inappropriate, vulgar, sex jokes…like what Louis C.K. and Bill Maher do. Since when does “off color” mean verbalizing clean, polite, Christian conservative convictions? Who flip flopped the definition? And, when? Was it when ‘bad’ turned from meaning ‘evil’ and ‘unwanted’ to meaning ‘good, hip, and cool”? “Phat” never really caught on, did it?

Are the liberal, God-hating, Progressive, Secular Humanist, Communists trying to control our thoughts by re-inventing our language? Controlling the dialogue? Is this George Orwell’s “thought police”? Isn’t it called ‘propaganda’ when proponents of a political philosophy purposefully change the meaning of words in order to devalue a dissenting opinion?

Who changed the meaning of the phrase “hate speech” from an evil, curse-word laced, verbal assault to a chapter of the Bible?

Wikipedia explains, “The most common sense of Orwellian is that of the all-controlling “Big Brother” state, used to negatively describe a situation in which a Big Brother authority figure — in concert with “thought police” — constantly monitors the population to detect betrayal via “improper” thoughts.” Propaganda is also called Political Correctness. Hitler, like Obama, used ‘propaganda’ to promote his dictatorship. I resist “dictators” and “kings,” because I was born in America. “We the People” are the boss. I refuse to think like the Left.

“Gay” used to mean happy, and the enemy changed it to mean “homosexual.”
“Homophobic,” according to Webster’s Dictionary, used to mean “an irrational fear of homosexuals.” Now it is used in a derogatory way to describe a Bible believing Christian’s conviction about sin.
“Off color” used to mean bad words, now it means good words that the Left has twisted into being bad words.

I was a judge on Last Comic Standing along with Aisha Tyler and Phyllis Diller. 99% of the comics performing for us were filthy. I couldn’t laugh. I love to laugh. Steve Martin and Jerry Seinfeld make me laugh. After awhile, Aisha turned to me and said sincerely and curiously, “You don’t like sexual humor?” I was speechless. “Sexual humor?” Making a mockery of the magnificent miracle of the human body that God amazingly designed isn’t funny. Describing the reproductive and excretory systems in detail, crudely? Where’s the joke? What’s the punchline? Why aren’t the digestive and nervous systems ridiculed? Is this blasphemy against God? It feels icky to my soul.

Huff Po, my political and religious remarks are not “off color.” I’ve never used a bad word, or said anything crude, or mean or hurtful. Your “world view” is based on “man is god.” My “world view” is based on “God is God.” We will never understand each other…unless you convert. (I Corinthians 1:18, I Corinthians 2:14) And, I pray you do, because I love you.

Isaiah 5:20, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”

    WELL STATED  !!!!!

  • Bobinbuffalo

John 15:20Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also.

You hang in there, dear and lovely sister! You are doing a mighty work for the Lord. Keep hitting them with the Name above all Names – who knows one or two might actually come home. Prayers are with you, Amen.

    • earthlingdave

I actually thought your bible quote was going to be in support of the gay community at first but then read the rest of your post. Still, that passage does apply to the LGBT community that has been persecuted and vilified despite the compassionate teachings of Jesus. Too bad…

      • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

I don’t think that Jesus preached that men should insert their erect peni$e$ into the rectal canal of other sexually receptive males as a surrogate vagina… Is that what you think he said? I think not.

        • earthlingdave

You’re absolutely right, Jesus did not preach that. He also did not preach that one should be a hateful bigot who demeans and insults their neighbors, or mocks them on a talkback thread. He preached a lot of things, it’s interesting what you choose to focus on. Maybe, just maybe, this has nothing to do with Jesus are Christianity but you’re own biases and how you choose to justify those biases.

Loving the sinner does not include or mean condoning the sin.  Is that too difficult a concept for you?

        • earthlingdave

Not difficult at all. I don’t need your “love” or support or permission to be anything I want to be. I have never harmed another human being and would certainly never use my faith to demean or insult someone. Look to your own house and stop worrying about my “sin.”

  • speakthetruth

Yay, Victoria! Thanks for responding to the Huff Post article. Here’s the good side of this: Their article is the reason I found your site & show. “Christian SNL comedian” is paradoxical, and that’s what caught my attention. Remember: “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.” Liberals are increasingly brazen in their attacks on conservatives and Christians–look at what happened to Patterico and others. Keep up the good fight ;)

  • American Patriot

You’re an idiot of highest order.

    • Todd House

      Victoria,
Seems you should add: “Idiot” now means “Sage.”

Haha you are using the name american patriot? Please find a mirror and figure out, you are acting like a socialist not a patriot….

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

      You didn’t mention “why.”

Are you a liberal? That would explain why your response is to call people names, but cannot explain why you take issue with them. It’s because you are a brainwashed left-wing tool.

      • earthlingdave

Look to your own house, my friend. You’ve been “calling people names” all over this thread, such as “brainwashed left-wing tool.” You must be a liberal then, right?

    • JESUSISACHUMP

you people are sad and pathetic. a crusty book — that’s been re-written several times to accommodate whoever is in need of control….you call it “the truth” or “the law” and line up like ants; sheep, insects, lemmings, whatever….the bible=written by men, for men(and women) and has created more war, hate, arguing, stupidity and moronic stubbornness amongst humans than anything. And your idiotic answer is to “just accept and believe” and there would be no problems. You people make anyone with a brain sick to their stomachs. But, go “with your gut”(so dumb), “keep the faith”, and dig your head firmly in the sand — the fantasy that jesus is with you will comfort you — but who will comfort the sane from you??? it is so sad to de-evolve….to go backwards….

      • http://www.facebook.com/teresa.d.mccormick.1 Teresa Davis McCormick

LOL you are arguing with another liberal not a Christian. Also God bless you because if Jesus didn’t believe in you, you would cease to exist.

  • LeAnne

I think you’re awesome! Always have… but even more now! :)

  • DOOM161

So Julia Sweeney wasn’t contraversial when she made a commercial speaking out against religious freedom?

  • PT

Wow Victoria, you hit the nail on the head.  Amazing quote from Isaiah 5:20 – that is exactly what is happening.  God always tells us of things to come before they come to pass . . . .  -PT

  • Jenny42

Sounds like someone is cuckoo for cocoa puffs.

  • Whitney

Here’s the thing, Victoria. When you say things like “Muslims kill people,” it’s hurtful. It hurts just as much as it hurts Christians to say that they’re all hateful bigots. It’s not polite; it’s a sweeping generalization.
More to the point, it’s untrue. I live in an overwhelmingly Muslim community, and the atmosphere after 9/11 wasn’t one of celebration; it was one of fear and American solidarity, just like the rest of us.
You’re absolutely entitled to believe and say whatever you choose. I really do think your heart is in the right place, but when you call gay relationships “ridiculous” or sing songs about how Muslims love to behead people, it truly does come across as mean.

    • normalthinking

How did you miss the videos and proof? They do behead Americans!!! Please do not go off on some non existent tangent to prove something false…

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

I have a video of a group of Muslims cutting off the head of Daniel Perle and screaming “Alahu Akbar.” It’s pretty vile. So don’t tell ME that Muslims aren’t barbaric murderers, because I know different. They actually made a pretty big attempt to popularize the practice a few years ago, did you have a sniffle and miss attending the mosque that day?

      • earthlingdave

And I have a news story about a white supremacist Christian skinhead going into a Sikh Temple and killing six innocent people. I can also open a history book and read about the Crusades…I can ALSO use my brain for change and not be a reactive bigot. Do you honestly believe, in your heart, that you’re a good Christian? Do you really stop and reflect and think, I’m really loving my neighbor today? I’m follow the teachings of Jesus Christ?

        • http://www.facebook.com/teresa.d.mccormick.1 Teresa Davis McCormick

You are all over this site telling people how to be good Christians. Judge not lest ye be judged.

  • Blair

    I’ve never watched SNL.

  • Leslie

this is a women who speaks her mind, and does not sugar coat the things that are wrong, I love the fact that she is not socially correct, or politic correct, she speaks the truth and she is right.  We need to get back to good values and morals.

My faviort line is if you don’t what the truth don’t ask the question, I won’t sugar coat the truth, and if the truth hurts your feeling just deal with it

  • earthlingdave

Your OPINIONS do not constitute the truth. You listen to your “gut feeling” and think it’s your brain. This is your right to do as it’s a free country, but please don’t classify it as THE TRUTH.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

Likewise, I won’t classify your pronouncements as “truth.” Sounds like BS to me…

      • earthlingdave

I made no pronouncements so what in particular sounds like BS? That said, even if I did think my opinions were the only truth, I wouldn’t seek to foist those opinions as law onto other people, as the modern “christian” seems so happy to do. Jesus had a lot to say, not surprisingly he didn’t seem to focus on homosexuality…

  • http://www.facebook.com/people/Roy-L-Dunigan-II/681171923 Roy L. Dunigan II

“Homophobia” is one of the greatest feats of reverse psychology ever pulled on a society.  When someone expresses their belief that homosexuality is abnormal or a (gasp) “sin”, he or she quickly gets labeled a “homophobe”.  It’s an attempt by the perverse to make the that person look like the one with the problem rather than the homosexuals.  Unfortunately society has swallowed this trick hook, line, and sinker.  When called a ‘homophobe’, the individual is put on the defensive and made out to be a bad person who is hateful, fearful, and bigoted against homosexuals.  He or she then winds up struggling with a way to say, “Why, I’m not a homophobe!”

    • Light

I never answer in a defensive manner, Truth needs no defense. If I tried to defend God, that would be a sin,  I would be making myself bigger that God, as if He needed me to defend Him.  I just answer, “Shaddup, I’m not homophobic, I’m homo-nauseous.”  Bless you all, and Victoria,  from NEPA :)

  • Jill

Gosh, Jackson. You’re such a loser.

And I suspect you feel exactly the same way about yourself, at heart.

You’re a woman who somehow manages to be a has-been and a never-was at the same time.

And I suspect you feel exactly the same way about yourself, at heart.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/SANN53ICPBGF3KTTIS3CUNCQ6U GFM2012

Gosh, Jill. You’re a twisted, sick never-was, never-will-be who has such a paucity of brain cells that you are forced to repeat yourself after three sentences. Go gargle with Rogaine and pi$$ off, rat-bait.

      • earthlingdave

Again with the name-calling, you must be a liberal then, right? As you said, they love to name-call.

  • Nylion3

YOU GO GIRL! I’M WITH YA!

  • Victoria K. Coots

I just love this lady…she is a delight. After reading this a truly getting to know her convictions, I just adore her all the more.

  • Gary77

Love your post! The quote from Isaiah describes our nation very well. I fear God’s judgement upon our country in the not too distant future unless we heed His instruction. “If my people, which are called by my name will humble themselves andpray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and forgive their sin and heal their land”

  • moberndorf

You go, girl! Wish they were all “controversial” like you!

  • Nancinger

    I love this woman…..
