    Any Socialist might find t worth a try. Stalin successfully gutted the Soviet military in the ’30s, eliminating most of the senior officers. He paid the price in late ’41 and early ’42. Fortunately for him his country could withstand huge losses; in similar circumstances we couldn’t.
    Come to think of it, that may be the plan.
