Bishop E.W. Jackson: The Idea That Barack Obama is a Christian is Laughable

Is America better off now than 4 years ago?  Economically?  Spiritually?  We were honored to have Marine, Lawyer, Author, Pastor, Bishop E.W. Jackson back on the VJ Show to discuss the spirituality of America these days.  Lookin’ pretty bleak.  One day, Harvard Law School graduate Bishop Jackson’s father was reading the Bible, from beginning to end.  Jackson decided to do that also.  He soon realized it was a book that demanded a decision.  So, he asked God if He was real.  Jackson woke up on Dec. 22, 1976 with “his mind stayed on Jesus.”  He told his wife, “I think I’m saved.”  Jackson promptly went to church and then became a Pastor.  Jackson is now founder of Exodus Faith Ministries based in Chesapeake, Virginia.

In reading the Bible for the first time, Jackson says he immediately loved the book of Psalms, and when he read about Jesus, “the lights went on.”

About Obama, Jackson says, “We were deceived.  The idea that Barack Obama is a Christian is laughable.”

Jackson studied at Harvard Divinity School but says it was more like Harvard Atheist School, their curriculum being so far from the Holy Bible.  Jackson practiced law for 15 years in Boston and then devoted himself to full time ministry.  He has authored two books, “Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life,” in 2008 and later this year the release of ““America the Beautiful – Reflections of a Patriot Descended from Slaves.”

Yes this is a spiritual matter not a political. America Christians have gone away from God in pursuit of monetary wealth, or possessions. The very first commandment is “thou shalt have no other gods before me”. If we Christians in American had put God first we would not be in this mess. We opted for possessions instead of doing what God wanted us to do. There is song “People Need the Lord” that is very appropriate for this day and time. American Christians have neglected getting the Word out and instead focused on material things. Our churches are dead as they do not preach against sin any more. We have compromised and become tolerant to sin in order to have huge congregations and to feel good about our sin. If God would save a wicked city like Nineveh because the king called his city to pray and fast, He can do that for America as well. 2Chronicles 7:14 says if My people will humble themselves and confess their sins, God will heal our land. Sandy was divine appointment, and have the people gotten on thier knees to pray. Katrina was divine appointment and were we called to pray by our leaders 9-11 was divine appointment, and still our leaders did not bring before God in prayer. Revelation 9:20-21 says that though all this suffering the people would not repent. God wants to be the only one in our lives, yet we have many gods in our lives. Right now what I am reading is the Republicans are back stabbing other Republicans because they did not vote for Romney. I believe we had a choice as Hosea 8:4 says we vote people into power the God does not know. Why should I be dammed because I voted as I felt God would have me vote? I voted for the best there was not the lesser of two evils. I made a choice after Reagan that I would no longer vote for the lesser but the best. Where was the Republicans when Todd Achen and West needed them? The Republicans are no better then the Democrates as they voted God out of their party as well. We can not serve God and manna, and to many of us have tried. Does God have to take everything away to get our attention, or will be humble ourselves confess our sins and worship God.
