Is America better off now than 4 years ago? Economically? Spiritually? We were honored to have Marine, Lawyer, Author, Pastor, Bishop E.W. Jackson back on the VJ Show to discuss the spirituality of America these days. Lookin’ pretty bleak. One day, Harvard Law School graduate Bishop Jackson’s father was reading the Bible, from beginning to end. Jackson decided to do that also. He soon realized it was a book that demanded a decision. So, he asked God if He was real. Jackson woke up on Dec. 22, 1976 with “his mind stayed on Jesus.” He told his wife, “I think I’m saved.” Jackson promptly went to church and then became a Pastor. Jackson is now founder of Exodus Faith Ministries based in Chesapeake, Virginia.
In reading the Bible for the first time, Jackson says he immediately loved the book of Psalms, and when he read about Jesus, “the lights went on.”
About Obama, Jackson says, “We were deceived. The idea that Barack Obama is a Christian is laughable.”
Jackson studied at Harvard Divinity School but says it was more like Harvard Atheist School, their curriculum being so far from the Holy Bible. Jackson practiced law for 15 years in Boston and then devoted himself to full time ministry. He has authored two books, “Ten Commandments to an Extraordinary Life,” in 2008 and later this year the release of ““America the Beautiful – Reflections of a Patriot Descended from Slaves.”
