Getting Fired For Something You Said?! Uh Oh.

PaulaDeen2012

Paula Deen got fired for something she said?! Uh oh. Looks like we are all gonna get fired. Political Correctness is “Censorship.” What happened to Freedom of Speech? Paula Dean said a “racial slur”? Did she take God’s name in vain? Have you? Seems like that would be a greater crime than slurring a fellow human. Should everyone be fired who has slurred the name of Jesus Christ? Shariah Law says that if you slur the name of Mohammed you will be put to death. So now, Mohammed and Black People trump Jesus in respect?!

Gawker reports that she said something to a former disgruntled employee about the N word and tap dancing. Hey, all the rap songs use the N word and in much more vulgar terms than tap dancing. So, black people can use the N word and white people can’t. What if you’re half and half?

I wonder why the minority of blondes can be ridiculed by anyone and no one gets fired. “Two blondes walk into a building. You’d think one of them would have seen it?” Why are dumb blonde jokes still politically correct?

I think Paula Deen should counter sue and while she’s at it, let’s fire everyone who has ever said a dumb blonde joke, and let’s sue the TV show THE TALK for not having one token conservative or one token blonde or one token Christian guest host! That is discrimination. Racial and religious and political discrimination. Let’s fire and sue everyone.

Or maybe we could have forgiveness and grace and mercy for each other? Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” Ephesians 4:32
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Maybe we should loosen up, drop all lawsuits, and have FREEDOM OF SPEECH again. I told you America died on Election Day 2012.

Look at this websites posting policy. How can you make a big deal out of what this lady said and her lack of freedom of speech if you set the same limits for your comment board?

    • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Well, bullies and hypocrites are not noted for their keen critical thinking skills…

  • interestedobserver2

America died on election day 2008, actually. That’s when Americans decided that the Republic simply wasn’t good enough anymore and elected a moron to “fundamentally transform” America. The only way to fundamentally transform a Republic is to turn it into something else.

    • cimiron

I agree, this is an abomination to our Lord

      • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

        Your Lord doesn’t exist.

        • interestedobserver2

So you worship Saint Obama and the feminist/homosexual creed. Religion is religion dude, yours is just couched in anti-traditionalist terms and chooses to belittle other belief systems. Typical for any newly created religion. You have to destroy the old ways before your new creed can become the revealed truth. The good news is that you already have your own inquisition.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

No, I’m personally an atheist, but more importantly a secular humanist who recognizes that magical thinking, fairy tales, and myths have no place in governance or law.

          • interestedobserver2

And your atheism in no way changes your “magical thinking” in terms of the new religion of “secular humanism.” It’s not enough for you to reach whatever decision you reached about your own beliefs, you must “proselytize among the heathen” and teach us the error of our ways. By force if necessary. And if any of you aren’t toeing the doctrinal line, you’ll destroy them with your inquisitorial approach. Just as you must pass judgement on anyone who doesn’t agree with your own specific belief system. “Behold, I see the mote in your eye, but not the beam in my own.” You’re a self-proclaimed hypocrite who is so completely blind to any form of self-evaluation that you can’t even see your own hypocrisy.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yeah right – I’M the oppressor. “Waaah, if I make racist jokes you call me a bigot, wut about my feelings tooooooooo. Waaah, when I try to force abortion bans based on my particular personal beliefs on people, they get mad at me. Waaah, when I try to force imaginary myths like creationism into public schools, people call me ignorant!”

You righties are the ones always trying to jam your particular hang-ups onto everyone else. Get over it, pal; you guys lost, and your particular flavor of theocratic nonsense is going the way of the dinosaurs.

          • interestedobserver2

Another strawman argument set up by a liar who lacks the intellectual honesty to argue the points I raised. But what else can we expect from someone living in his grandmother’s basement while accepting hand-outs from people who actually work for a living.

And really, you ought to read the hatred and bigotry you spew out before you condemn anyone else for “shoving their particular hangups” onto anyone else. I have never demanded you or anyone else pray or agree with creationism or anything else, other than be responsible for yourself instead of being a peripatetic leach. You on the other hand insist that I give up my belief system to your “superior creed.”

Really, the only person getting mad here is you, and only because I called you on your neo-religionist intolerance for others. Have a nice day. Oh, and your grandmother finished that batch of cookies you were waiting for.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

“Waaaaah, I don’t understand how social support systems work, or how society is an interconnected machine that functions best when all members are provided equal opportunities and protections under the law! Waaaaah”

          • interestedobserver2

            Did anyone hear anything?

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Awww, in the immortal words of Andrew Ti: “U Mad?”

          • interestedobserver2

            Sad little drone.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

You’re the one apparently sad about the proper and legal election of President Obama by a majority of U.S. Voters.

          • interestedobserver2

Really, I couldn’t care less. I didn’t vote for Jimmy Carter, either. *sigh*

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

hmm…you “couldn’t care less”, and yet, you said “America died on election day 2008, actually. That’s when Americans decided that the Republic simply wasn’t good enough anymore and elected a moron to “fundamentally transform” America.”

Were you lying then, or are you lying now?

          • interestedobserver2

What I couldn’t care less about is your gloating over the worst decision made by the electorate since Jimmy Carter, and perhaps since James Buchanan. So move on little troll, move on.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yessssssss…there it is. That beautiful schadenfreude. Man, I do like to see you righties gettin’ petulant.

          • interestedobserver2

Look in the mirror Princess Petulance

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Me? I’m peaches and sunshine, chief. We’re whittling you guys down to nuthin’ – racism, sexism, homophobia, all on the outs. Admittedly, its going slow, and I wish we could speed it up, but we’ll get there. You guys lost, and are fading away….

          • cimiron

wasn’t legal in any sense of the word, voter fraud etc and etc

          • cimiron

you have a right to all your opinions, that doesn’t make it right or true )

          • cimiron

sorry but our constitution and our laws were based on God

          • Kenneth Kirkham

Atheism is a religion. Secular humanism is a religion. What makes you right and everyone else wrong?

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

No, atheism is defined as not believing in any gods or goddesses or magic, and instead accepting the evidence of a purely rational universe dominated by physical laws and natural relationships, i.e., gravity, evolution, etc. Secular humanism is a PHILOSOPHY that embraces reason, ethics, social justice, and philosophical naturalism, rejecting myths and dogma.

What makes you right and everyone else wrong? Your magic book?

        • cimiron

some day you will see that he does )

    • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yeah, America “died” because a majority of people voted clearly for President. You’re just mad that your hopes and dreams for a theocratic dictatorship based on your particular brand of bronze-age sky god mythology have been completely destroyed. Good riddance, too.

      • interestedobserver2

But I’m not mad. Just sorry for what’s going to come. Sadly, you’re too benighted and willfully ignorant to understand what’s going to happen, or to figure out where it all went wrong when it does happen. You’ll just die, and wonder why.

        • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yeah, I’m “benighted” because I think living in a representative democracy is actually really neat. We’re finally making progress against bigots and hate speech, and people like you who pine for the good ol misogynistic, homophobic, racist, xenophobic, patriarchal days are FINALLY dying out.

          • interestedobserver2

But you don’t live in a representative democracy. America has never been a representative democracy, but rather a republic. Only an absolute fool would think that the governmental system outlined by that outdated scrap of paper called the Constitution was a representative democracy. But then, based on your vitriolic personal attacks on anyone who dares to disagree with you, the definition of “fool” fits you rather well.

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Hey pal, representative democracy or constitutional republic, mostly just tomatoh-tomatah, you hear me? Regardless, you’re the one apparently sad that voting works and Obama was elected legally by a full majority of US voters, unlike ol Bushy there, who had to be installed by the Supreme Court.

          • interestedobserver2

Really? You’re that ignorant? Well, not surprising. Buh bye, Eric. Enjoy your swim in the oxymoronic cesspool of “liberal thought.”

          • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Here ya go – a little something to start you on your path to not-being-insane: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Representative_democracy

          • Me

Umm…. votes in FL were counted again, and again, and AGAIN before that happened.

          • cimiron

the thing is it is making people more apt to hate with this person in charge

        • cimiron

no problem people like him will get there comeuppence

          • interestedobserver2

That they will. The only problem is how many others they’ll take with them on the way down….

  • Oldfart

What happened to freedom of speech? This was just not right.

    • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Man, you can say anything you want, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t going to be ramifications for what you say – if you say hateful racists stuff, then you’re going to get called on it, pal.

  • jb80538

What’s worse, she got fired for a word she used 30 years ago!

    • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yeah, personal responsibility is all a liberal commie plot!

      • jb80538

I think you missed my point. Or maybe I wasn’t clear. 30 years ago, in the south, that particular word was often used by virtually everyone. The fact she may have used it then and admitted to it, is why she had her show cancelled.

        • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

Yeah, used as part of hate speech, knucklehead. “It was a different time” is about the lamest excuse imaginable.

        • Jennifer

There are different rules when you decide to enter the public spotlight. She could have just been a chef and run a restaurant, but she wanted a TV show. When you sign up for the adoration and big paychecks, you also sign up for the public scrutiny.

    • cimiron

she used it in a bank when it was being robbed by a person that she helped to get a loan and he was afraid she would recognize him. So it is all a bunch of lies any thing else that was said about her by a very vicious person

  • http://dynamic-earth.blogspot.com/ Eric

No one is stopping anyone from saying anything, but if what you say is bigoted and hateful, well then, we are going to call you hateful bigots. Similarly, in the FREE MARKET you guys love so much, companies have recognized that being associated with hateful bigots hurts their bottom lines and so, as FREE MARKET entities, make the decision to cut ties with those people.

It’s the same as how no company wants to have anything to do with Glenn Beck or Victoria Jackson – they spout insane hateful nonsense that the vast majority of people find offensive and morally repugnant, and so of course are marginalized by a culture that has begun to embrace secular humanist values.

  • Pete

For all you that say it’s OK that she lost her show and contracts… Will you demand that others that said the same and/or racist remarks ALSO lose their jobs and contracts? They’re working on such a video… We’ll see how liberals react then… Wonder if ABC, CBS, NBC and their cable brothers will even report on it?
