  • Song Writing Camp!

    Song Writing Camp!

I highly recommend Justin Peter’s (Songsfortheplanet.com) Songwriting Camp! It was my first time and I loved it! I usually write alone. We came up with over 25 songs. We were at a beach house in Wilmington, NC. Most of us were strangers but now best friends for life.

  • Last Cancer Treatment Today!

    Last Cancer Treatment Today!

A BIG Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and technicians whose loving care, kindness and beautiful faces and hearts I’ll never forget! I asked the sweetheart technicians if I could take a photo with them. As I was leaving, Vicki the awesome nurse handed me my Certification of Completion of Radiation. I started to cry. She said, “You deserve to cry, you’ve been through a lot. Some people even have their friends and family with balloons in the lobby […]

  • Jon Lovitz Explains Conservatism to Dennis Miller

Jon Lovitz Explains Conservatism to Dennis Miller

Just stumbled across this video from 1998. In his unique way, Lovitz seems to be explaining to Miller why Marxism (redistribution of wealth) is bad and why Capitalism (conservative values, personal responsibility, hard work, freedom) is good. Jon must have convinced him because Dennis is now famous for being a conservative spokesman. (By the way, I worked with them both for 6 years back in the day and love them dearly. They are kind, professional and way smarter and funnier […]

Eric Metaxas: “Whatever happened to “Virtue”?”

Eric Metaxas, author of “Bonhoeffer” and a new book, “If You Can Keep It,” is urging Christians to get involved – or they will lose their freedom, they will lose their country…the name “America” may stay, but there will be nothing inside. He said America is not an ethnic group but an idea – “self-government.” It had never been done before in history, not even the Greeks (Eric is Greek)… who had little city-states. Eric said that all of our […]

  • Suffering in the Middle of the Night

Suffering in the Middle of the Night

My friends the Keefers told me to watch this video series. I started watching at Number 1, a month ago. Their friend, Professor Dr. Kent Robbins and his wife Sarah were dealing with his recently diagnosed terminal brain disease. (“White Matter Disease”) Since I dealt with breast cancer this year, (presently I have no cancer – I’m praying it never returns), I find comfort in knowing I am not alone in getting a shocking diagnosis. I feel like I know […]

Finished Chemo Today! Start Movie Tomorrow!

Today, May 9, 2016 – finished the prescribed chemotherapy for breast cancer treatments – Jan. 2016 to May 2016 – 4 rounds of Red Devil and other one (I always forget the name) that knocked me down, then 12 rounds of Taxol which wasn’t too bad…I can’t wait until my hair grows back. Very excited to be starting a new movie role tomorrow in my month off before six weeks of radiation begins. The movie is “Andy’s Rainbow” and I […]

New Original Song: “It’s a Broken World, Baby!” on Rusty Humphries Show

I was briefly on the Rusty Humphries radio show April 7 and he asked me about my cancer. I said it wasn’t so bad. Then, he asked me if I was really happy or just faking it. What a great opportunity I had to share the good news of Jesus Christ…and I blew it! I said something stupid about wearing pink wigs. In my defense, my 87 year old Dad had just been taken to the E.R. in an ambulance […]

  • I Love This Book: “Of Moose and Men”

I Love This Book: “Of Moose and Men”

Torry Martin and Doug Peterson wrote a new book, “Of Moose and Men: Lost and Found in Alaska.” I’ve always wanted to know what it is like to live in Alaska. They tell me. I also like to read about people struggling with their Christian lives because I do. Torry explores that. My curiosity was fed. My funny bone was tickled. And, my love for Christ was strengthened. I highly recommend this original work of art from this original red […]

  • He’s With Us in the Flames (great sermon)

He’s With Us in the Flames (great sermon)

8 Chemos down, 8 to go… but who’s counting? “The promise is not I (God) will put out the fire. The promise is I will be with you in the flames.” – @howertonjosh @TheBridgeSH Here is a fantastic sermon, “God in the Fire” by Josh Howerton from The Bridge Church. It’s about pain, suffering and God. (http://bridgesh.com/media/podcast/20160313.mp3) In Daniel 3, when Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fiery furnace, “… King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in […]

  • Best Answer on Climate Change – Rubio

Best Answer on Climate Change – Rubio

Rubio had a great answer to CNN’s attempted trick question involving climate change – it was excellent, truthful and fact laden. I hope the uninformed were listening. Marxists and New World Order elitists are pushing the hoax of man-caused global warming/climate change because it allows them to “redistribute the wealth globally.” That is Marxism, communism. Have you seen an intelligent debate on TV yet between two climate expert scientists with opposing views? No, you haven’t. Why not? Rubio has done […]

Eric Metaxas is the new Johnny Carson!

Author Eric Metaxas is brilliant, funny and …deep. His speech at the National Prayer Breakfast 2012 in front of Obama is a MUST SEE. Metaxas was born in Queens, New York City, he grew up in Connecticut and graduated from Yale University, where he edited the Yale Record, the nation’s oldest college humor magazine. And, he believes in Jesus. Eric interviewed me today for his new radio show, The Eric Metaxas Show. We talked about my recent cancer diagnosis and […]
